Global leaders in legal services Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP has recently relocated its London headquarters to 100 Bishopsgate. The move to the new City of London development from its former home of 30 years in Fleet Street underpins the firm’s commitment to reduce its environmental impact.

As part of the development, renowned lighting designers 18 degrees were engaged to create a lighting scheme for the front and back of house areas. 18 degrees worked closely with interior architect ID:SR.

The lighting design delivers energy efficiency as well as flexibility to support agile working. 18 degrees have created a scheme that accommodates different ages and preferences of staff, as well taking into account the availability of natural light.

As part of the scheme, over 250m of Ultimo Neon 10 from LEDFlex has been integrated into bespoke furniture. The 10mm narrow luminaire can be seen illuminating seating booths around the office space as well as backlighting furniture, adding a sophisticated subtlety to the ambience of the building.  As well as the green credentials offered by the superior LED technology, the Ultimo Neon 10 strikes the perfect balance between aesthetics and practicality.
