Testing Ideas in Form

Design intent is stress-tested through physical prototypes. Using tools such as 3D printing, laser cutting and CNC milling, we create tangible samples that replicate both geometry and surface quality. These allow designers to evaluate materiality, colour rendition, and performance before investment in full-scale production.

Validating Design & Performance

Post-prototype, luminaires undergo rigorous validation against design intent and performance criteria. Tests including thermal, UV, tensile, mechanical, and ingress are conducted, while full-scale mock-ups replicate site conditions to assess light quality, optics, and detailing. Findings inform final refinements before manufacturing.

Engineering at Scale

Following testing, designs move to production. CNC machining, aluminium extrusion, and metalwork deliver precise components. PCB fabrication, enclosure production, and rack assembly ensure alignment with approved specifications and performance requirements. At this stage, concepts are realised as finished components, ready for commissioning.

Realising the Design on Site

Commissioning aligns the installed system with project requirements. Control systems are activated, configured, and programmed for dynamic scenes, pixel control, or BMS integration. Each installation is inspected and tested to verify reliability, uniformity, and performance, ensuring the final delivery matches the design.
